A born and bred Pacific Northwesterner and brand new military spouse, I am currently based with my husband in the lovely town of Cheyenne, Wyoming. For years, I've dreamed of using my skills to give social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders 'a leg up' when it comes to communicating their messages and their needs to the rest of the world. This is my answer to that dream.
My personal project is The Zero Waste Memoirs: a blog dedicated to helping young couples start their journey "from wasteful to waste-free." There I share my husband and I's experiences with Zero Waste and share tips and tricks for making it happen in a small town without big city amenities. It's been truly inspirational and we've loved the journey!
My passion for social justice and advocacy has been cultivated over a series of roles in the nonprofit sector, and in contrast, corporate marketing. Over the course of my career I've worked alongside some incredible leaders in organizations such as Agros International, Pilgrim Africa and most recently, NetHope - a consortium of 49 of the world's largest nonprofit organizations - where I served as its Manager of Marketing and Communications. I've also performed mission and marketing consultations for Choshen Farm Zambia, ACTION International, NEXT Manga and Women's Enterprises International.
I hold both a Bachelor of Arts in Global Development Studies and a Master of Arts in Social & Sustainable Business Management from Seattle Pacific University.
